They are breed of very large working dog from the western
Alps in Switzerland and Italy.
Saint Bernard is a giant dog, but very friendly, social and very loyal, gentle couch potatoes. The tales of alpine
rescues makes this breed famous, as well as for its enormous size. As we know
they are giant breed they needs daily exercise whether they want it or not but
is must to make them stay fit, daily long walks with regular stretch out and
lope around. They love to pull a cart or carrying a backpack gives him a
purpose in life.
The St. Bernard's coat can be one of two varieties: one is
longer with slightly wavy or straight medium-length hair and the other is
smooth with dense and tough short hair.
